Also, here are the first round pairings, if anyone wants to get their first game in before/during break.

Pts: 500
Mission: Annihilation
Deployment: Pitched Battle

Secondary Objective: 1 objective marker is placed dead center, you score it the same way as a normal objective - troops score, anything contests.

mikedsmith vs Ozymandias
schuchternfechter vs christianA
Nekona vs Slopike
Nuclear vs GordyD

You have until January 15th to get this game in.

Good luck to everyone.

And one question to Alex; will some models be able to "upgrade"? For example, if someone has a basic rune priest or sorceror initially, could that model gain "experience" through battles and when more points are available upgrade him to a named character?

Or just had a thought for at least wolves; if a unit was almost wiped out in a battle, could the last guy become a lone wolf?:) Admitedly that would be a hard scenario to get but...:)

I might be in too late for this but would like a chance to run some nids (new army for me) in this campaign. If there's one more person looking to jump in at the last minute we could expand to a 10 player (pending approval). Just tossing my name in (days late but never a dollar short).

Or.. worse comes to worse, I can stand in or stand by for players who need an opponent. Just an idea.

While it is possible to do it with 10 people, for sure, we run into the problem of reaching too large game sizes. With 10 players, if we kept the 250 pts per round model, the final game would be 2750 pts. Thats a little too much to expect people to build and even more to ask to have that all painted. As is, 250 pts in 2 weeks is a little much, which is why I am not enforcing any rules on painting.

That said, I'll see if I can get any more people interested, and if so, I could restructure things to make it work in a reasonable time frame still.

Robert, Alex, I may be interested then....looks like all the guys from the Fantasy escalation will be participating, and everyone knows I could use a good excuse to get some stuff painted. My options are Catachan IG, Dark Angels, Orks, Sisters of Battle/Witch Hunters, or Tau...thought I already have a good amount of Tau painted, I have a good start on all the others as well. Any suggestions, or ideas? Looks like there will be 3!!! SW players, so more Space Marines might just get plain old....2 eldar players, IG, Sisters, Tau...Maybe Orks would be my best bet as they have no representation...and I have much to paint!

If you just don't want to go over 8 though Alex, I won't be hurt.

So, I'm in, if its cool.

Dave B

Since we are both about in the same boat (approximately) for partially started/unpainted armies Dave; I would either suggest rolling a die to pick what army or like I did pick the shiny and new thing:)
