Ok, yes, I will definitely start it off in January, would be silly to do it sooner. So, if anyone is interested, the tentative first 2 week session will be the first week, or so, of January.
I've been thinking about it, and here is my plan for list building:
Any "units" you buy, you must keep. By this I mean, if you buy 10 tactical marines, your next list must have 10 tactical marines, but the equipment they have can change from game to game. For example, this would be legal:
Game 1- 10 tactical marines pwep, flamer, heavy bolter
Game 2- 10 tactical marines pfist, plasmagun, lascannon
OR Game 1- Captian lightningclaws, terminator armor
Game 2- relic blade, storm shield, jump pack
Units that can swap options, like guardians becoming storm guardians, is ok too. However, as transports are their own units, if you buy a transport for a unit, you will have to keep that from then on. You may also add more models to a squad, just not subtracting or splitting squads (combat squads it different). For example this would not be allowed:
Game 1- 10 plague marines 2 meltaguns
Game 2- 5 plague marines 2 meltaguns
5 plague marines 2 meltaguns
Other than those restrictions, Anything that is legal in the list is ok, including sp characters.
Games will be played using standard objectives chosen before the game. As for scoring, right now I am thinking a 10-5-0 for W-D-L, and in game 6, people will be paired by how they scored in the 5 games. To prevent ties, I will also implement secondary objectives, but I am still finalizing how to do those. Something like each player chooses a target unit in the enemy army, and if they kill it, they get their secondary objective. If there is a main score tie after the 5 games, it will be broken by whoever has gotten more secondary objectives.
So, any questions or suggestions are welcome and wanted.
